Digital Marketing & SEO Strategist

Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated digital marketing professional specializing in SEO to join our growing agency! The Digital Marketing & SEO Strategist will develop, implement, and report on SEO campaigns for a number of our clients with a focus on maintaining the technical health of our clients’ sites, building and maintaining a sound SEO strategy to employ, and adhering to Google Search Best Practices.

In this role, you will also be asked to provide guidance on site structure and navigation for new web development projects, utilizing your knowledge of SEO best practices, technical and otherwise.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be expected to present monthly reports on SEO campaign performance for multiple clients, and also suggest optimizations on status calls with clients.

Also desirable is experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads and LinkedIn Ads, or a willingness to learn these tools and grow as a digital marketer, as well as Google certifications in Analytics, Ads, Business and other areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and report on SEO campaigns, taking into account current website performance and client goals
  • Execute deliverables, including: Keyword Research & Mapping, Metadata Optimizations, Technical Audits, Backlink Analysis, On-Page Content Optimizations, and more
  • Provide guidance on site structure, navigation, and content layout based on organic search best practices
  • Communicate and build relationships with clients through email, web conferences, and occasional in-person meetings or presentations
  • Identify and remediate any technical issues that may arise on our clients’ website, working with the web development team to problem-solve
  • Continuous education is essential in order to stay up-to-date with Search Algorithm Updates and constantly evolving best practices
  • Assist the Agency’s Director of Digital & Analytics with the preparation of website analytics reports for client meetings and/or reporting
  • Collaborate with Web Developer and Creative Department around website maintenance and optimization
  • Implement necessary analytics and event tracking tags through Google Tag Manager

Qualifications

  • Experience with Google products such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Looker Studio, and Tag Manager

  • Experience with SEO reporting & tracking software (preferably SEMrush)
  • Experience with Google Business listings, or listing management tools such as Yext and SocialClimb (preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years of SEO experience, ideally within an agency setting
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to present campaign performance reports and strategy proposals both to clients and internal teams
  • Must possess an analytical mindset, with an interest in exploring the data at your disposal to uncover actionable insights to influence the development and progression of the SEO strategies being employed.
  • Must have ability to multi-task or manage multiple obligations in order to meet deadlines and stay ahead of the workload
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
  • Willingness to learn new platforms & hone new skills for the benefit & progression of both your career & the agency’s capabilities
