Domestic violence can be deep-seated, generational and accepted as part of life. But abusers are not monsters. They are often victims themselves. So instead of threats, we offered hope. We utilized the church as a distribution channel and a trusted source of the message. We talked openly about abuse to encourage others to do the same. And we gave abusers a pathway to reform and redeem themselves.
